About me

Latest Works

I'm currently working on 2 different projects: backstage and Open Score. backstage is my MA's final project, which I chose to review and refine after I completed it last year. It aims to portrait the unseen part of the creative arts, with a special focus on female-identifying creative practitioners. Other is a project by Damien Collis on the music available to disabled musicians and how to improve it, which I will be directing and recording.

I'm also part of the York Theatre Royal's Futureproof programme. By exploring themes such as identity, leadership and cultural expression, it aims to provide early-career artists with strategies, knowledge and connections to develop their practice. This internship will culminate in the production of different projects as well as a symposium this Summer.

Experience

Futureproof Programme

York Theatre Royal | NOV 2025 - Present

This new programme focuses on providing local early-career artists with the opportunity to develop their practice by exploring subjects of identity, leadership, fairness and cultural expression. The aim is to create a toolkit that helps keep a career sustainable as the environment in the arts sector changes, and share that knowledge through a showcase and a symposium at the end of the internship.

Creative Producing & Directing

York, UK & Lisbon, PT | SEP 2019 - Present

Although this is something I only recently became interested in pursuing professionally, I've realised I have been doing it for quite some time throughout college and university. I'm an organised and process-driven person, so I enjoy putting together collaborative projects.

Composition

York, UK | 2017 - Present

Alongside Music Production and Sound Recording, composing has been at the forefront of my practice for the best part of a decade. My degrees have allowed me to gain a broad range of experience in composition, by experiencing different music genres and ensembles first-hand either through performance or attending concerts and workshops. I have written and arranged original for solo guitar and piano, chamber ensembles, rock and punk bands and full orchestras.

Music Production & Sound Recording

York, UK & Lisbon, PT | 2017 - Present

I studied music production in college, in what would be equivalent to an apprenticeship, and as my final project, I recorded an EP. Since then, I have gained more experience by joining the backstage team during university, doing live sound engineering for their Students' Union Open Mics and collaborating in the studio as well as recording and mixing music for my own projects.

Ensemble Performance

York, UK | SEP 2021 - SEP 2025

Throughout my BA and MA, I have been part of various different ensembles, such as rock and punk bands, choirs, chamber groups and orchestras. I had the chance to perform regularly at York St John University's Lunchtime Concerts and Open Mics as well as bigger events such as York St John's musical theatre productions and the Cathedrals Group Choir Festival in 2022 and 2024.

Pit Band Performance & Studio Session-ing

York St John University | 2022 - 2025

From recording my own guitar and bass tracks in college to being guitar 1 in a musical theatre production pit band, I have a wide range of experience in performance in a recording studio/high pressure environment. I recently took the ABRSM Grade 5 Music Theory exam and I passed with Distinction. I can sightread tablature and notation on guitar to a grade 8 standard, followed closely by bass, drums and Bb clarinet.
